Guerline is a fervent advocate for human rights and literacy, inspired by her Haitian roots and the educational challenges she observed there. Her commitment to education began by teaching her mother to read and nurturing a love for reading in her children, who showed exceptional literacy skills at an early age. Her book skillfully combines emergent reading techniques with the vital principle of education as a human right.
Her educational journey includes degrees in psychology and psychopathology from France, a Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law, and a master's in public administration from the University of Pennsylvania. Guerline is a Certified Human Rights and Human Trafficking Trainer and leads ISAFER, a human rights organization.
Guerline is multilingual, speaking English, Haitian Creole, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. Her career spans roles as an Educational Consultant, Attorney, Mediator, and DEI expert. She's active in her community, serving on the World Affairs Council of Harrisburg and as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., co-chairing their International Awareness and Involvement Committee. She's involved with the Greater Pocono Chapter of Jack and Jill of America Inc. Guerline lives in Central PA with her family, where they attend the Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
At her core, Guerline is a human rights activist, who was shaped by her personal experiences of human rights violations. Those experiences have not only influenced her worldview but also her personal pursuits involving family and friends. Her mission is to uphold people's rights, leveraging education's transformative power as her tool. She believes education is the great equalizer, capable of breaking barriers and unlocking potential.
In writing, she aspires to educate, inspire, and empower. If her work can inspire even one person to reach their potential, She will consider her purpose fulfilled. Her desire is to make a difference, however small, in advocating for a world where justice and equality are not just ideals, but realities we live by.
As an author, her purpose extends beyond storytelling. Guerline endeavors to bridge the gap between early literacy and awareness of societal issues. Her goal is to engage young readers, nurturing their budding reading skills while simultaneously enlightening them about the complexities and beauties of the world around us. Crafting narratives that resonate with children and introduce them to concepts of justice, and empathy, She aims to sow seeds of compassion and understanding in fertile young minds. It is her belief that stories have the power not only to entertain but also to educate through books and education materials and inspire positive change.
Whether you're looking to inspire students in school visits and assemblies, honor graduates with a memorable commencement speech, motivate teams to reach new heights, or delve deep into discussions about human rights, education, and overcoming challenges, Guerline is here to bring your vision to life. Her speeches are more than just words; they are crafted experiences designed to engage, enlighten, and empower every individual in the room.
